Hi! I’m Brandon.
I’ve been designing websites for roughly fifteen years. When I got started, it was all hand-coded html. Thankfully, things are much different today.
My own church’s website was recently ranked #2 among the top 100 church websites of 2018 by Reach Right and #3 among the best church websites on the net by Pro Church Tools, a leading church communications website.
It isn’t that the website is so well designed graphically or so large in terms of content. It did not cost ten thousand dollars (and sadly, I’ve heard of churches paying far more than that).
What makes an awesome church website awesome is that it serves the target audience well.
That’s it.
We want to make our church as easy as possible to attend for someone who isn’t already involved in a church. So every single detail of our site is examined in light of that one goal.
Yes, we also make next steps for new believers clear. We post events. We offer online giving. But what really matters is that the potential first time guest knows where we meet, when we meet, and that they are going to love it!
This is especially useful if you don’t have the knowledge or time to build a website yourself.
But the point of this website is a little different. This site is for the do-it-yourselfer.
This website is extremely simple. It’s really five pages, outlined below, and some occasional blog posts.
I believe awesome websites are built on five key components.
- Solid web hosting (Fast, secure, reliable, and functional). Learn More Here »
- A powerful engine (WordPress). Learn More Here »
- A beautiful design (the right WordPress theme). Learn More Here »
- Extended functionality (using WordPress plugins). Learn More Here »
